CHILD & ADOLESCENT MENTAL HEALTH DIVISION

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD) provides mental health services free of charge for eligible children and youth who have severe emotional and/ or behavioral challenges. Services include assessment, case management, and an array of therapeutic supports provided in the home and community, or temporary out-of-home placements.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH & HOMELESSNESS STATEWIDE UNIFIED RESPONSE GROUP (BHHSURG)

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health’s Behavioral Health Administration (DOH/BHA) in partnership with the Governor’s Coordinator on Homelessness and the Department of Human Services’ Homeless Programs Office (DHS/HPO) has prioritized the control of the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Hawaiʻi among behavioral health and homeless populations while ensuring continuity of coverage of essential services including behavioral health and homelessness services.

MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA

Mental Health America (MHA)  is the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the overall mental health of all Americans. Our work is driven by our commitment to promote mental health as a critical part of overall wellness, including prevention services for all; early identification and intervention for those at risk; integrated care, services, and supports for those who need it; with recovery as the goal.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE

Asking for help is one of the most difficult tasks for a substance abuser. There are many treatment resources available to help with the disease of alcoholism and substance abuse. Substance abuse treatment is available at the following agencies funded by the Department of Health’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. NAMI Hawaii State is also dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals and families affected by mental illnesses. Through support, education, advocacy, and awareness we improve the lives of people in Hawaii who live with mental illness.  Along with our supporters and volunteers we work to chart a course to meaningful change in Hawaii and a path to recovery. NAMI effectively provides advocacy, research, support, and education about mental illness.
